Religion Project by kameron lunnon

Last spring I traveled to Bangladesh and while I was there I visited the Kantajeu Temple and also I visited ISKCON. ISKCON is short for International Society for Krishna Consciousness. It was a very pretty place with lots of Hindu believers who were dressed in very colorful robes and hats. I really enjoyed the energy and I felt like they enjoyed teaching me about their culture.

This is a photo I got from ISKCON!

Last Summer I visited Thailand! Their country has very beautiful landscape, I really enjoyed it! Also I visited the Buddhists Sanctuary of Truth. The Buddhist Temples are very pretty, with lots of ancient sculptures and statues of gold that are very nice! This Sanctuary was filled with filled with sculptures based on traditional Buddhist. It was very very cool! #IWOULDGOBACK

I got this really cool picture inside the Sanctuary of Truth!

Last year I visited Jerusalem, while I was there my family and I visited the Dome of the Rock. It looked very nice on the outside with the gold roof and the Jewish art around the outside. A;so a priest taught me a little about the history of the dome. The Dome of the Rock is a shrine located on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. It was initially completed in 691 CE at the order of Umayyad Caliph Abd al-Malik during the Second Fitna. I hope that someday I can return.

A few months ago I visited Bethlehem, while I was there I visited the sacred site known as Sephoria, I learned that this was where the Virgin Mary spent her childhood at. That's crazy because I practice Christianity I never knew that! Also I visited where Jesus Christ was baptized at! The River Jordan! It was very cool, there were many others there and they all said it was cool too.

One of the churches I found in Bethlehem!

I just got back from my most recent trip to Sufi Islam! While I was there I visited Kaaba and Al-Masjid al-Haram, Mecca, Saudi Arabia. I visited a mosque in Saudi Arabia, and inside that mosque there were some very interesting paintings, they were very colorful and pretty, so I managed to get a picture of one! I will put it at the end of the blog! I also learned about some the sacred Islamic places were located in the city i was staying in! The city's were called Kaaba and Al-Masjid al-Haram, Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
