Intro...

Al Capone was born on January 17th 1899 in Brooklyn, New York. Al Capone is a very famous gangster for many different reasons. He bootlegged Whiskey from state to state making himself rich along the way and had got away with it. He got away with a lot of things, bootlegging whiskey, murder, robbery, and kidnapping were a few of his biggest crimes. He is probably one of the most public and famous gangsters of his time.

Important Characteristics...

Al Capone was a very sneaky person. You don't get away with murder everyday. He was very smart knowing everyone and what they did. He got away with so many things that he basically could walk into a bar and shoot someone like he was never there. Which actually happened, once. His best friend was mugged by a thug and Capone tracked him down to a bar where he killed the man. Yes, this actually happened, which brings us to loyal. This man was as Loyal as ever. Capone said once, "Don't mistake my kindness for weakness. I am kind to everyone, but when someone isn't kind to me, weak isn't what your going to remember about me."

Important Contributions...

Al Capone was famous for many crimes. A few include bootlegging whiskey from Chicago to New York City, cheating in Gambling and helping others with their crimes for money, and lastly the Saint Valentines Day Massacre. The Saint Valentines Day Massacre was a horrible murder order by Al Capone who hired a bunch of assassins that he sent to kill George Moran. 7 men died that day in a North Chicago Garage. All the seven men were gang members but George (Bugs) Moran was not harmed.

Why Capone is Famous...

Al Capone is famous for getting away with anything. Al Capone got away with everything, murder, bootlegging and more. The only crime he was arrested and sentenced for was tax evasion which isn't even near the sentencing for the other horrible crimes he committed. He bootlegged from Chicago to New York across many state borders and didn't get caught. He was strong and was able to execute a plan quickly with the slyness and clever thinking of a fox.

Why Al Capone is Important...

Al Capone is important because he inspired many future Criminals. With his inspiration came flaw. It is important that with the continuous crimes occurring the police and government officials were able to stop these young and new criminals before they could even commit the crime. In the time that Al Capone lived gangs were everything and he was the Sole Leader of the Chicago Outfits. Al Capone is known for being the symbol of the prohibition era.

What to Admire about Capone...

He was as loyal as a man could be. If anything happened to one of his fellow gang members he would swear revenge. He was very determined with his organized crime business. He would destroy anything in his path to get his money. Even though Al Capone isn't someone you would look up to he does have a few characteristic traits that you would. Determination and Loyalty are two very important traits that you would need to run a business like he does.

In Conclusion...

Al Capone might have been a bad man, but for his kind of business he was brilliant. Al Capone died on January 25 1947 on Palm Island. He might've done some horrible things but the way he lived and used his business was respectable in the fact that he was fair to people who were fair to him.
