It is so wonderful to be back in the Academy with so many smiling faces! Thank you for all your support during this difficult time.
We know that working together with you, we can make a huge difference in the lives of our children and in our Blyth community.
As you know, we believe that each of us is made in the image of God and so are infinitely precious, gifted for a purpose and morally responsible.
We want our children to leave our Academy not only having had an excellent Academic education but also an excellent Character Education.
As part of our Character Programme, this half term we are focusing on Charity and Giving Back. We will think about how we can be thankful for those who have helped us during this pandemic including NHS workers, friends and family.
We will also have a Charity project to help our students appreciate how blessed they are to live where they do and have the support and facilities that they have.
As we are teaching our students the importance of hygiene, we felt that Toilet Twinning was a great opportunity to help reinforce our message. Furthermore, we can use this charity to help our children to understand the impact poverty can have on other children across the world.
Our aim is to raise at least £240 to buy a school block of toilets. This equates to each child in our Academy raising roughly 30p. The classes will be thinking of inventive ways to raise money this half term. Thank you in advance for your support.
