Our History Your Future Member profile

As we celebrate our 30th Anniversary, our fitness community has been asked to reflect on their time with us during their fitness journey. We calculated that over the history of North Shore Gym we have had over 3 million visits to our gyms! Many of these have shaped peoples lives, created new friendships and improved the health and fitness of many.

We want to show our respect to the wonderful fitness community that has been created over the last 30 years.

Meet Trish from our Pymble Gym...

Trish is our little pocket rocket who has been a member of the gym for 16 years.

She is passionate about exercise, always has been. She is driven by her competitive streak that drives her to achieve her goals that she sets for herself.

She gets up at 3.30 in the morning to walk seven and a half kms to our gym arriving at 5.30am when the doors open. You will find Trish in a weekly spin class and the rest of her training, is all about resistance training and balance work. The BOSU ball is one of her favourite pieces!

Trish always has a smile and a hello for everyone. She challenges herself to learn everyone's names, good to keep her brain active!

“In my journey to this geriatric level I have been aware of a common trend for people to be in awe of what others can do and a pessimistic belief that they can not attempt the same challenge

My motto has always been that there is never only one path to obtain a successful challenge result. If an alternate route is not obvious, then seek help from someone more cluey; but never throw in the towel.

The feeling you get when you are successful will give one a lift better than any champagne bubbles.”
