9 day Okavango Delta north to south / mobile camping / scheduled departures

  • Day 1:
  • Itinerary: Guests arrive in Victoria Falls in preparation for a 3pm predeparture meeting with their guide and fellow travellers. There the guide will do a briefing of the next 8 nights’ itinerary as well as provide any need to know information. This will also be an opportunity for the guests to ask any questions they may have about their upcoming safari. Dinner will be held at the hotel’s restaurant
  • Accommodation: Twin Share Lodging in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
  • Optional activities: White Water Rafting, Helicopter Flights, Ziplining, Bungee Jumping, Devils Pool, Zambezi Sunset Cruise
  • Meal plan: Dinner
  • Day 2:
  • Itinerary: Departure from Victoria Falls will be at 7 am. Guests will arrive at the Kazangula Border at approximately 8 am after a drive of 70 km. After border formalities clients will drive 10 km to a lodge where a full briefing of the day will be had. Following this guests will enjoy a relaxing game viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River before returning for lunch. After lunch guests will have time to shop for drinks and snacks in Kasane town that they will need for the next four days of safaris. The afternoon will be spent setting out on a game drive into camp while enjoying, en route the beauty of the Chobe National Park. Hopefully finding the illustrious carnivores of the Chobe as well as the large herds of Elephants and buffalo, arriving at camp just after sunset. Dinner will be served on arrival to be enjoyed around the camp-fire before overnighting in pre-erected dome tents.

  • Day 3:
  • Itinerary: Guests have a light breakfast before leaving on a leisurely drive for Savuti, which is located in the western corner of the Chobe National Park. Lunch is served in camp or on route to camp. After lunch guests enjoy the experience of untamed Africa on a late afternoon game drive, returning to the camp just after sunset.

  • Day 4:
  • Itinerary: The day starts with an early light breakfast and a leisurely game drive around the Savuti Marsh and open plains. Guests return to camp for a hearty brunch and spend the midday hours at their own leisure followed by an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight in Savuti.
  • Accommodation: Camping in Savuti, Chobe National Park
  • Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
  • Day 5:
  • Itinerary: Rise and shine early to discover the awakening African sun. Guests have a light breakfast before enjoying an early morning game drive including a stop at the bushman paintings. They then set off for Moremi Game Reserve. Game viewing continues en route. Lunch is served on route to camp. Guests are then given the opportunity to relax until the afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight in Moremi.

  • Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
  • Day 6:
  • Itinerary: The day starts with an early game drive exploring the Moremi area further. Guests return to camp for a hearty brunch and spend the midday hours at their own leisure, followed by another afternoon game drive exploring the Moremi Game reserve. Dinner and overnight Moremi.
  • Accommodation: Camping in Moremi Game Reserve
  • Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
  • Day 7:
  • Itinerary: An early morning breakfast is served, while enjoying the sights and sounds of daybreak. Guests set off on a final game drive in the Moremi area. The Moremi Game Reserve is departed, with a light lunch en route to Maun. On arrival in Maun guests will have the opportunity to do an optional scenic flight over the Okavango Delta which is spectacular. Shopping for the next day will be done before heading to the Camp. The guests will overnight here and be briefed about their upcoming Okavango Delta mokoro excursion the following day.
  • Accommodation: Camping in a well-equipped campsite in Maun
  • Optional activity: Scenic flight over the Okavango Delta
  • Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
  • Day 8:
  • Itinerary: An early morning breakfast is served around the campfire before heading off to explore the Okavango Delta by mokoro with experienced polers. After a nature filled day exploring the 1000 th UNESCO world heritage listed site guests can enjoy sundowners in the bar before a final farewell dinner with the group. Dinner will be held at the camp’s restaurant.

  • Day 9:
  • Itinerary: After a hearty breakfast the guests say farewell to their guide and fellow travel companions as the tour comes to an end.

what you need to know
  • You will be travelling through the wilderness where there are no shops or market places and very little communication. Therefore please be sure that you have everything you need before departure. Once you are on safari we ask that you keep hydrated, relax and unwind and enjoy your surroundings, after all you are in Africa.
  • Please be aware that once you have entered the National Parks and Game Reserves, you will be camping in wilderness areas that are not fenced. Wild animals are free to roam through your camp-sites. We will take great care of your safety while in the wilderness.
