Nine tenths of education is encouragement. – Anatole France

ENCOURAGEMENT!!!

We will be submitting students in these categories for the LaAmistad Student Awards:

1. Outstanding Student

2 Most Improved Reading

3. Most Improved Math

4. All As and Bs

5. Perfect Attendance at LaAmistad

If you have any recommendations, please let us know soon! We have to submit names by the end of this month.

Excitement about books!

Remember that the student WITH THE MOST IMPROVED mathematics, not necessarily the one with the best math skills, will win the coveted BICYCLE1

For the most improved math student!

Students may see a decrease in homework as the school year nears an end. Please be prepared with additional activities on days the students do not have homework. If you're not sure, ask Patricia or me what new things we have available in the magic closet!

Don't forget to attend the Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast next Saturday, April 29, right here at our location, Shallowford Presbyterian Church. It runs from 9 to 11 a.m. and we hope to see you here then!

Year end party!

Our year end party will be Thursday, May 11, the last session of this school year. THERE WILL BE NO TUTORING THAT DAY! However, we hope you can come and party with us from about 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. The children's parents are also invited and many of them will be cooking and bringing food for the party. Don't miss this chance to say so long to your students. They will also want to say goodbye to you!
