John Cabot Cara & Ashlie

John Cabot was Born in Italy with a nationality of Venetian and Italian. His family was wealthy spice merchants. He moved to England to explore for the King.

John Cabot was best know for his Voyage to North America. In 1497, John Cabot took Ship Mathew and sailed of to North America (mistaking it for Asia) and landing in Canada.

He claimed the land in Canada for for King Henry VII of England. He landed somewhere of what is now known as Newfoundland.

King Henry had Cabot sail back to North America to explore more of the land he had found in the previous year. While on his journey Cabot got lost at see and never made it back to King Henry.
