Being stuck in the house isn't too exciting, but do you know what is? Homemade banana bread! This easy 11 step recipe will leave you wanting more and more.
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 stick of room temperature butter
- 2 large eggs
- 3 ripe banannas
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
First, gather all your ingredients together in your baking space. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees as well.
Begin by mixing together your butter, sugar and eggs in a bowl until fluffy.
In a separate bowl, mash your bananas until smooth.It is very important to have ripe bananas in order for them to mash and have the proper texture.
Once the bananas are mashed, add in your milk and ground cinnamon, mix until fully combined.
Next, in a separate bowl, whisk together your flour, salt and baking soda.
Add the banana mixture to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix the two together until all ingredients are fully combined.
Slowly add in the dry ingredient mixture ⅓ cup at a time just until flour disappears. Add ½ cup of chocolate chips. This is optional but I added chocolate chips because I love the sweet taste.
Add batter into a greased eight by four bread pan and put in the oven for 70 minutes or until the top is golden brown. To check if the banana bread is fully done, insert a toothpick into the center, if there is batter on the toothpick when pulled out, the bread is not yet ready.
Let bread sit to cool, and enjoy!
