Summer 2021 Project

A ticketed Contemporary Dance Experience coming to the Ogden Contemporary Arts Space: Featuring a collaboration between Cam McLeod photography, JoBdance, and Ogden Movemeant Collective

  • June 4th First Friday Arts Stroll Preview
  • June 11th Opening Night at Ogden Contemporary Arts
  • June 12th Concert at Ogden Contemporary Arts
  • June 13th Performance at Ogden Arts Festival
  • June 24th Concert at Ogden Contemporary Arts
  • June 25th Closing Night at Ogden Contemporary Arts

Our project is fueled by our shared experiences of isolation this past year: disconnection from the embodied human experience, the fissures, and the attempt to find each other.

The evening performance will feature both dance film and live pieces choreographed by Jo Blake (Ogden Mayor's Award for the Arts), Alicia Trump, Jessica Gabler and Conner Erickson, Fiona Gitlin, and Tawna Halbert.

Performed by 20 local area dancers, with guest cellist Ciera Rasmussen and Poet Brandon Dominguez.

Using dance as both process and product, Ogden MoveMeant Collective is rooted in Dance Therapy. Company members collaborate with under-served populations: stories and lived experiences are transformed into art for the community- professional dance artists act as conduits. We aim to bring awareness and healing. Movement is the medium for voices to be heard.
