Walk The Path of Meditation, towards a Happier Life

Our "Path of Meditation" classes aim to help us overcome everyday states of mind which cause us to experience unhappy feelings and problems.

​If we nurture positive states of mind and guard against disturbing thoughts and conceptions, we can become our own inner protector against the ups and downs of life. In this way anyone can improve their inner well-being and peace of mind; enjoying life no matter what our external conditions are.

About The Classes

Wk 1: Why Meditate - What is the purpose of meditation? How does it help us solve our day to day problems? Discover how meditation helps us overcome and eventually stop the unhelpful negative states of mind we all experience, replacing them the positive states of mind which guide us towards true, lasting happiness.

Wk 2: Identifying Our Problems - If we know how to identify the source of our problems correctly, and what the actual problem is, we can learn to apply wisdom to overcoming and eventually eradicating all our problems.

Wk 3: Taking The Long View - In a world of quick fixes we can come to appreciate the benefits of true paths to happiness and enjoy life now, whilst aspiring to greater achievements in the future. Learn to enjoy the inner freedom and peace even a simple meditation practice can bring.

Wk 4: In The Direction of Happiness - We desire happiness, but frequently don't know where and how to find it. As a result we can end up simply creating more problems. Discover how to move towards a life which fulfills our potential for pure, everlasting inner peace, joy and contentment.

What Happens in the Classes?

Each class begins with a breathing meditation to help us let go, relax and enjoy some mental space. This is followed by a practical talk on the week's topic; the class finishes with a contemplative meditation to lodge in mind what we've found useful from the class. No need to book, simply turn up any evening you like. Everybody welcome. ​​

Meditation is an effective way to deal with the negative states of mind that cause us to act out of anger, frustration, jealousy and pride. Through meditation and mindfulness techniques we learn to control our mind, rather than allowing our mind to control us.

Anyone can benefit from a meditation practice and so our classes are for the benefit of everyone - the good news is that there is no such thing as someone who cannot meditate! Classes are open to beginners and experienced meditators alike and you will be sure of a very warm welcome into our centre. Further Useful Information

  • No need to book in advance - simply turn up on the night
  • No previous experience needed
  • Join a class anytime - all classes are self-contained so it won't matter if you miss one or miss the start of term
  • Attend all the classes or just drop-in when you can
  • Join us after class for a cuppa, some biscuits and a chance to ask questions and make new friends with fellow class mates
  • Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes before the class starts to give you the time to settle comfortably before we begin
  • We use chairs for our classes, so there's no need to worry about trying to sit on the floor in uncomfortable positions!
  • Wear whatever clothes are comfortable for you, you don't need to wear anything special to meditate

  • Discount Cards: £30 (6 classes for price of 5 - you can use these for other branch classes outside of this set)
