Theodore Roosevelt By: Kelly Schipper

He grew up in Manhattan. He had asthma but his dad thought that he could over come asthma so he made him do a lot of different activities.

Roosevelt got married to Alice Lee but she shortly died after giving birth. Alice and Roosevelts mom both died on Valentines Day.

Roosevelt became assistant secretary of the navy but resigned because he wanted war time. He joined a group called the Rough Riders.

He won the presidency of 1901 and was the youngest president to hold office. He made the square deal which included the 3 C's conservation, control of conservations, and consumer protection. Won the Nobel Peace Prize for negatiating peace between the Russia and Japan with the Russo-Japanese Treaty

Went to Africa on a Safaria while he was working for the Museum of Natrual history.
