Face to Market

I offer one headshot session:

Face to Market is a two hour collaborative headshot session.

The session's focus is to allow you the time to get the headshots you need. It's not about the number of looks, it's about your time to relax and feel at home in front of the camera. The session will allow us to work on getting those 'heavy lifting' portraits that you need for casting: commercial and theatrical (legit) headshots.

There will be plenty of time for clothing changes - we'll be concentrating on simple, clean and uncomplicated headshots.

Make-up & Hair

Light make-up will be applied when you arrive. We allow for 30/40 minutes - this is in addition to your one hour and 30 minutes in front of the camera.

We can give light changes to your hair at your session, but please come with your hair audition ready. Audition ready is the way you would normally wear your hair to audition. If you want to straighten curly hair or have extensions/wigs at the session - it's helpful for me to know in advance so I can advise the make-up artist.

Make-up is required for both men and women and is an additional cost to the session fee

Women: $175 (including light hair)

Men: $125 (including light hair)

What to wear

We want to look at your face and not be distracted by either what you're wearing or not wearing. Think about how you want to present yourself to casting agents/producers. Who are you - your general age and broad generic type? Is there anything you are specifically casting for? Bring the appropriate clothing to compliment that.

Please bring a minimum of 6 changes of outfit (top half).

Bring more outfits than you think you'll need - more options are better than less.

Bring colors that go well with your complexion/skin tone.

Good neutral/universal colors that work well on most people are greys, blues & teal

Avoid really bright or neon colors unless you know your skin tone can take it!

Patterns can be ok. If in doubt, bring!

Avoid clothing that is heavy, chunky or obviously seasonal.

Black is strong and a great look but PLEASE bring other colors!

Bring layers! Jackets, cardigans, sweaters and shirts - they all add dimension.

If in doubt, bring it - sometimes not everything works well on camera (and vice-versa) - bring LOTS of options!

Clothing color guide

If you want to be more specific about coloring and really what works best for your skin/hair combo - click HERE & do this quiz - it'll then help you determine what 'season' you are.

Use these guides to help you pick the warm or cool tone of the colors that work for your skin/hair type (your season):

But if all this detailed color talk is too confusing - use these colors that UNIVERSALLY work on ALL skin tones:

black and all shades of grey
blue - especially denim and rich royal blues
all shades of teal
rusts and maroons
