TD Garden (Boston Celtics) Td Garden

The 'TD Garden" is a multi-purpose arena in Boston Massachusetts. The TD Garden arena is mainly used for the Boston Celtics & the Boston Bruins. The Boston Celtics is team that is in the NBA (National Basketball Association) and the Boston Bruins is a team that is in the NHL (National Hockey Association). The TD Garden opened in 1995 as a replacement of the original Boston Garden and has been known as Shawmut Center, Fleet Center, and TD BankNorth Source:Garden.
In this photo, this is Boston Arena the first arena built before replaced by a new arena the TD Garden. The Construction began on April 29, 1993. Plans for the new arena stated that it would be slightly north of the old facility. The site for the new arena occupied 3.2 acres (13,000 m2). It eventually cost $160 million. Ground was broken on April 29, 1993. In 27 months, quick by today's standards, the arena was built. That included seven weeks of delay caused by heavy snowfall.[13]
This is how the TD Garden looks like now (2017). The TD Garden is 755,000 square feet. Its capacity for basketball is 18,624 for hockey it is 17,565 and for concerts it is 19,580. The TD Garden is 162 feet tall.
