The date was April 9, 1865 after a long battle the Unions finally got their victory! In the duration of this battle the Confederates looked like the had the upper hand over the Union army. Even though all of that was against them they pulled through with the victory and Even have the General Robert E. Lee of the Confederates surrender himself along with his approximate 28,000 troops to The General of the Unions Ulysses S. Grant.

Soldiers Engaged: Union Army: 120,000 | Confederate Army: 30,000

Outcome: Union Victory

Casualties: Union: 260 | Confederate: 440; over 27,000 surrendered

Over all Casualties: 700
