Vision Assignment Gian Recentes

What are my Strengths and Positive Qualities?

I don't know if all of this is true but many people (like my mom) tell me that I'm very hard working and that I do well in school because of my good grades. As for myself, I believe that I am good at a few things like science, math, and other subjects similar to that. This is because I enjoy the material taught in those classes and, in the case of math, I like figuring out the process to a problem and applying that to other problems of the same type.

What Does True Happiness Feel Like?

To me, the definition of true happiness is quite different compared to what other people think. My interpretation of true happiness is when you don't just appreciate the tangible things such as money, phones, or nice houses. Instead, you feel grateful for all the other things in life such as family and friends. This is because those are the things, like family, can't be replaced unlike objects like your car.

What am I Most Proud of so Far in my Life?

There are many things that I have done in my life that I am proud of. However one of the things that I have done that I'm proud of is getting to Early College. This is because so few people got in (60-70 people out of 200-300 applicants) and it has given me the opportunity to advance my education in a way that a traditional high school couldn't.

What Are my Rules for Success?

I have three main rules for success. My first is that whenever you have a task to complete, you should do it to the best of your abilities. This is to ensure that it is the highest quality work that you could have done. Second, you should keep persevering and trying even if the work that you are doing is difficult. It is better to have tried something than to have given up right when it starts to feel overwhelming. Last, but certainly not least, is to never give up on your goal; whatever it may be. This is because the goal that you wish to achieve (such as losing weight) can have a positive effect once you accomplish it. Furthermore, the act of you working towards your goal despite the difficulty of it can give you the motivation to do more things in the future. It's just like the saying " It's not about the destination it's about the journey."

Who do I admire? (can be living or dead, famous or not). What qualities do I admire about them?

One person that I admire is the Renaissance polymath Leonardo da Vinci. Also known as the "Renaissance Man", he invented many things like a flying machine, made many contributions to mathematics, and made many famous paintings such as the Mona Lisa. I admire him for his ingenuity and excellence in many fields.

I admire Martin Luther King Jr. because he kept on fighting for what was right, specifically the end of segregation. He was also a great, inspiring leader who made influential speeches such as "I Have a Dream."

Another person I admire is Mahatma Ghandi. This is because of his role in India's independence movement against Britain as well as his prophecy on nonviolence and civil disobedience, which MLK Jr. used during the Civil Rights Movement.

Purpose Paragraph

Despite the fact that I am still young and have a long way to go in life I still believe that I have a generally good idea on what my purpose is. Whether my purpose may change in five years or not I don't know, but currently I believe that my purpose right now is to help other people in any way that I can. My reasoning for this is that assisting others is a way that I can contribute to the world in order to make an impact in life. Helping others makes the person I'm helping feel good because they got what they wanted and it makes me feel happy inside as well since I know that I made someone's day better. In other words, it's a win-win situation for the both of us.
