Who would have ever thought we would see all these familiar faces in the same place again, at the same time? Well, pinch yourselves because this is really happening. The cast-members of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, gathered together in Malibu, California to reminisce about old times. But, that's not ALL!

Many rumors have began about a reunion of the show in the works. The crew, Tatiana Ali, Alfonso Ribeiro, Karyn Parsons, Will Smith, Daphne Maxwell Reid and Joseph Marcell made their debut. It was actually Parsons' idea. Parsons, also known as 'Hilary,' the ditsy, fashionista and oldest daughter of the Banks' family arranged for the cast-members to reunite. She hosted a luncheon to raise money for her charity. Her charity is called Sweet Blackberry which specializes in African American educational stories in history to impact our youth. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, aired for the first time Sept 10, 1990 on NBC. The show was a huge success starring rapper, actor, turned producer Will Smith. Smith, played a teen raised in West Philadelphia. After getting into a fight on a local basketball court, his mom sent him to live with his very wealthy aunt and uncle in their Bel-Air mansion. Let's just say the cool kid from Philly, was not used to the "new" lifestyle of his relatives. Take a look:

The cast, all agreed that it was hard reuniting without one of the main characters of the show James Avery. He passed away at the age of 68, in 2013.
Avery was known as 'Uncle Phil.' He wore many hats, not only was he Smith's uncle, but also the father of the Banks' family and an attorney turned judge. The show had some great memories such as this one with Smith's estranged father. In this scene, we see an emotional Smith trying to make amends with his father, who left him at a young age, and often made promises he did not keep. And, of course, the late 'Uncle Phil' shown here comes to his rescue. Get your Kleenex ready!
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air aired for it's final season, May 20, 1996. A 6-year sitcom with many memorable moments, dramatizations, changes, laughter and fun. And even in 2017, its legacy lives on...
