LIST-SERV IS RETIRING

The subscription-based email ListServ is aging technology and is expiring this Friday, January 10. After that, the server that houses ListServ and its contacts will be wiped clean, decommissioned and given a proper “retirement celebration.” To stay in touch with SCHOOL DISTRICT announcements, events and school board news, please subscribe to the new e-newsletter.

Notification Change for School Closures or Delays

This year, you will receive a phone message and email from the district (not individual schools) if we close or delay school.
  • This helps ensure we reach everyone, including those without an email address on file, before students stand outside at a bus stop, and before parents leave for work.
  • If you added a text message number in the Blackboard portal, you will also receive a text message.
  • As usual, it will also be posted on the district website and posted through FlashAlert, which also feeds into mainstream local news feeds.
Need to check your Blackboard Connect settings or someone else in your family needs to sign up?

Schools currently using ListServ (like ME) will transition to using Blackboard Connect, our existing mass communication system, to reach families with SPECIFIC SCHOOL INFO.

If you are the primary guardian already listed at your child’s school, you don’t need to do anything; you will continue receiving messages from your child’s school. (Just make sure we have a current email or phone number on file!)

If you are NOT receiving messages via Blackboard, you want to add a family member or you want to change the way you receive messages (email, text and/or phone call), click on the link below. (You will need your student's ID number to join.)

FLYERS ARE GOING DIGITAL

Say goodbye to crumpled flyers at the bottom of student backpacks that surface after an opportunity has passed. Our school district is implementing an electronic flyer distribution system. Families will get flyers in their email inbox instead. The new distribution system, Peachjar, will launch Jan. 16.

Schools and outside organizations will have a more accessible, environmentally friendly and interactive way of sharing flyers and newsletters. Primary guardians with an email address on file at their child’s school will automatically begin receiving flyers by email. If a family member would like to also receive them, they can subscribe on the school website after Jan. 16.
