Skill Builder: Design for Print and Screen Michael Leong Learning Journal

This is my Learning journal for the Skill Builder: Design for Print and Screen Adobe course.

Course 1 - The Recipe. For this introductory course, we needed to create a recipe page following a predesigned template. I like this course because it has us working off of someone else's layout. I have always had trouble working with someone else's style sheets, so this was nice for me to do because it made me practice dealing with this situation.

Course 2 - Concert Poster. I really enjoyed this one. I really let my creative juices go with this and utilized both photoshop and InDesign to complete it. The Dead Milkmen are one of my all-time favorite bands, so it was great creating this. I loved working with the layers in InDesign and how my file size wasn't crazy big like it would have been if I just used photoshop.

Reflection - FINAL ASSIGNMENT: Overall I really enjoyed this class. It was a great simple intro to how to use InDesign. I would definitely recommend this to others and look forward to taking another course! It made me tackle areas of InDesign that I wasn't comfortable with and also allowed me the free range to be creative and have fun! Thank you!
