Beginners Guide to Photography Master the basics in this 5-hour course

Relaxed, informal with lots of opportunities to ask questions. This course is a flexible beginner level photography workshop. Designed for people just starting out on their photographic journey. Best suited to photographers with DSLR or interchangeable lens mirrorless style cameras. It is not suitable for people with fully automatic point and shoot cameras or phone cameras.

A little pre-planning, knowing how to set your camera and spectacular storm photos are easy. Being there is another story.

There are no dirty secrets professional photographers don't want you to know.

Your workshop presenter, Ian Mckenzie should know. After 40 years as a full time working photographer, he hasn't discovered any. There are, however, hundreds of simple to learn skills that will lift your photography from snapshots to great shots. Ian will endeavour to give you a whole bunch of new skills and knowledge to make you a more complete and confident photographer.

Ian is passionate about giving you the tools to advance your photography. All of us have unique opportunities to tell our stories through photography.

Chances are Ian will have suggestions for you to improve your photography. Regardless of whether you are passionate about photographing people, sport, landscapes, nature, macro or art style images. There will be a massive amount of information available to you at his workshop. Ian would love to see you there. And he promises to give you as much information as he can during the five-hour workshop.

This 5-hour Beginners Guide to Photography workshop is valued at $69.00 If you book and then discover you cannot attend, we refund your ticket price in full up until 24 hours before the event. (Except for a small service fee charged by the booking agent) We do not offer refunds for no-shows, or cancellation after 24 hours before the workshop. However, we do offer a refund if there is someone on standby to fill your place or if we can resell your ticket.

I apologise for the poor audio. Good lesson here for me. Hiding a microphone in a rose bush is not a good idea. It becomes a new playground for little critters to jump on, making horrible background noises.
