Tate Bowers

Hi my name is Tate Bowers, I'm a senior graphic communications major at Clemson University. I've been interested in graphics since I was a sophomore in high school. I was lucky enough to be able to take a Digital Art class while in high school. The class let me play around in Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Flash and many other adobe applications. It was in that Digital Art class that I realized I wanted to major in graphics when I got to college. In the time that I have been at Clemson I have gained many skills and have been able to build upon the skills I learned in high school. I have discovered that I truly have a passion for social media, printing, photography, and design.

I was on a mission trip in Alaska when we stopped on the side of the road for a break. I was very new to photography at this time but this is still one of my favorite pictures I've taken

I was dog sitting for a friend and happen to have my camera in my truck so I snapped a few shots of the dog while it was running around.

The bride, my friend invited me to the wedding and asked me to bring my camera and I jumped at the chance to practice my photography skills.

Friends of mine that are graduating from Clemson have been hiring me to take their graduation pictures.

I got a DJI phantom 3 standard for Christmas and have been taking every chance I get to fly it and taking pictures and videos.

The stadium the day after it snowed in Clemson.

A friend contacted me about needing a logo for the lab she works for that studies cardiovascular disease. I came up with this design in 5 min. My friend and her boss loved the design and have used it on their website which can be found at https://www.jolabwebpage.com/
I designed this a few years back for fun while I was at a internship. Since being in Jeff Kallin's class I have been learning how to use After Effects and below this image you will find a video I created using this design in after effects.
