Badge Up with the Digital Badge Basics

Have you been hearing about the latest craze that is digital badges? Interested in learning the basics of how to earn a digital badge to empower your own professional learning? There are quite a few skills involved in being able to earn a badge with the criteria that is required within a typical badge description. Attendees will walk away with some of the necessary skills to acquire what most digital badges call for and an exclusive digital badge for attending the class!

Modification is addressed when allowing technology integration redesign the way you develop as a professional.

TIMS Addressed

Collaborative Adaptation - teacher provides opportunities for students to use technology to work with others. The teacher selects and provides technology tools for students to use in collaborative ways, and encourages students to begin exploring the use of these tools.

Goal-Directed Infusion - teacher creates a learning context in which students regularly use technology tools for planning, monitoring, and evaluating learning activities. The teacher facilitates students' selection of technology tools.

ISTE-T Standards

2a. Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity.

5c. Evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning.
