Causes
No one knows the cause of asthma, one theory is that it is a combination of genetic and environmental factors.
Symptoms
- Coughing
- Wheezing
- Shortage of breath
- Chest pressure
- Rapid breathing
Treatments
- Bronchodilators (quick relief inhalers)
- Corticosteroids (long term meds)
- Inhalers, most of them have albuterol sulfate.
- Allergy meds
Prevention
There is no way yet to prevent asthma. We don't even know what causes it, so until that is figured out, there is no way to prevent it.
