We've gathered some resources to help you find your next favorite book! The sections below allow you to find books in a variety of ways: links to search for books similar to ones you've liked, by genre or author, about to be made into movies, tied to music, based on book lists or podcasts...

Search GoodReads for your favorite book. See where you can find it on book lists or what other readers who liked this book enjoyed. No account is needed; just scroll down to the search box.

Access Books & Authors through the Fairfax County Public Library databases to browse by title, author, genre and more. Search for a book you like and try their Read-a-likes lists! (Log on to your school Google account and check here for the password.)

Take a look at What To Read Next for recommended books, along with book trailers, book talks and "other books you might like..." for the titles listed.

NPR's Books We Love has a Guide to 2023's Great Reads with tags. Use filters to find your next book. Lists are available back to 2013.

Explore the New York Public Library's staff latest recommendations lists. Be sure to select the "teens" from the audience dropdown box to see book recommendations in a range of subjects.

Publisher Weekly is known as the "bible of the book business." Explore their 'best of' lists by year and genre.

Take a look at Book Riot's list of books that 2024 Oscar nominees are based on and Epic Read's Upcoming YA Book-to-Screen Adaptations list. Grab a copy before the movie comes out!

Looking for diverse books? We Need Diverse Books has compiled a list of sites that offer recommendations for diverse titles. Take a look and find something interesting to read next. Or take a look at Project LIT Community's book club on Instagram.

Check YALSA's book finder. You can search by award or booklist, by author, by genre or by award year using this tool from the Young Adult Library Services Association.

Use the school library catalog to find the book in our collection. You can search by subject, author or title.

Take a look at AudioFile's SYNC free audiobook program. Each year, they offer two downloads per week that will be yours to keep. Submit your email address to receive alerts about all the featured titles -- they change each week and are only available for that week. The 2024 will be announced soon.
