WJBR Senior Shout Outs!

WJBR recognize that the coronavirus pandemic has put the entire world on hold and disrupted so many lives. Their hearts are with all of our local schools, principals, teachers and the students in the class of 2020. They understand the disappointment and sadness that students are feeling as their original graduation day approaches and know that they may feel robbed of a very special time in their life. Teachers may not have been able to say goodbye and wish their students well on their new endeavor. That’s why they are having a big virtual graduation party to celebrate the class of 2020 on June 4th. They will be dedicating their entire show that morning to the class of 2020. The hope is to give the seniors a chance to join us on the radio to reminisce on some of their favorite memories of senior year, shout out their best friends and teachers, and share with the world where they are going after high school. The party is for teachers and principals too! They want to give teachers and principals the opportunity to say goodbye to the class of 2020 and give them the recognition that they deserve for our entire listening audience to hear. Johnny B and Jessie’s Graduation Party is a chance for teachers, principals, and students to have fun, celebrate and get some closure from a chapter that ended unexpectedly and abruptly.

They are planning a virtual graduation party for the class of 2020 on June 4th- airing messages from students shouting out their friends, telling us where they are going next year, some of their favorite memories from senior year. Teachers and coaches shouting out their students and principal messages to the class of 2020.

They are hoping to gather some pre-recorded interviews and are setting up a voice mail box that people can call and leave their messages to playback throughout the day.
