The Cuban Missile Crisis affected Russia economically because America blockaded Cuba from Russia. This means that Russia could not give supplies, war material, or communicate with Cuba.

The Cuban Missile Crisis affected us socially because Americans were only allowed to visit Cuba if they had a very specific reason to go. Some examples of these reasons include: family visits, journalistic activity, professional research, religious activities, etc. These restrictions were lifted when Fidel Castro died, November 25, 2016.
