HMS Prom 2017 Chinese new year

On May 20, the Junior Class held the annual Prom. At High Mowing, the Prom is a gift from the Junior Class to the soon-to-depart Senior Class. All students attend. This year, the theme was Chinese New Year!

To begin the event, the students processed from the dormitories to the Main Building.

In the Big Room, the students greeted their dates. Faculty performed a short skit to introduce the theme of the Prom, and then the juniors led the rest of the school outdoors.

Before the outdoor dinner started, students posed for photos with Frye Field as a backdrop.

A live band, composed mostly of musicians from the junior class, kicked off the night's dancing as the sun set.

After dinner, students write notes to each other and vote for the Prom court.

When the sun had set and dessert was finished, the students moved the party into the Big Room.
