Walt Disney was born December 5th, 1901 in Hermosa, Chicago, Illinois. He died December 15th, 1966 in Burbank, California. His brother, Roy, was his main influance. They co-founded Walt Disney productions together, ans Walt created the character Mickey Mouse.

Walt Disney has attended Benton Grammar School, Kansas City Art Institute, and School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

He began as a cartoonist in the early 1920's, he started with short films. Eventually he got into more animated shows. He founded the animation and entertainment empire. Walt got turned down for his short film Oswald the Rabbit, so he created Mickey Mouse. Mickey Mouse original name was going to be Mortimer, but his wife came up with the name Mickey.

Many of Walt Disneys old shows are still popular today, like Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, etc. Even today, there are still more Disney films being made. But many still prefer the old ones over the new ones.
