Some resilient Vancouverites were with us at 1051 Davie St. for HOURS...
...some local media came to show us some love & check out the commotion too...
...and across all our social platforms there was a ton of excitement!
Ok well not JUST excitement. There were some sad faces across the country on those who couldn't make it to Vancouver. But luckily the endless stream of great opportunities we offer Canadians throughout the year made up for it - and we gained some new fans & subscribers anyway!
There were a couple hundred people who liked the deal in the YVR Deals Facebook groups, and a couple hundred more on the YVR Deals Facebook fan page.
Overall there were about 300 comments in both the groups and on the fan page, which is pretty well in line with most of the more popular deals that get posted from Vancouver. It reached about 34,000 people on the Facebook fan page, which is maybe a little less than usual (usually around 40-45k) but there were also multiple deals that day, with a very popular one to New York that reached 50,000+.
The majority of comments are usually just people telling their friends/family to check out the deal. Here are some that relate to the deal itself:
'this is a mad price I've never seen it this low'
'That's a great deal!! Thx for the post!'
There was one from a guy that complained about his dad driving all the way down there, only to discover he was too late for the $777 tickets, and offered the $1277 flights instead. 'Bait and switch' is what he claimed it to be. One other negative comment:
'This kind of offer is absurd. This method of acquiring tickets is like a raffle but they don't call it that.'
That's about it as far as negativity goes.
