The Growth Zone

Since the beginning of the year, we've been looking at the theme of Movement and how we can grow together as we move in the right direction. Yesterday we were blessed by one of our Chapel speakers who shared the idea of Growth Zone. She encouraged us individually and also collectively as a school community to intentionally and progressively step out of our comfort zone because that's a dangerous place to be. We all love comfort and quite frankly it becomes part of our identity and purpose because we feel safe and in control. However, the magic happens outside of it. As a chaplaincy team, we believe in our students, we believe in their potential, their growth and we believe in them as leaders to go and make the world a better place. But more than that, we desire to journey with them as they transition form their comfort zone into the growth zone.

Jer 21:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, " plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"

Choir Performance

On Saturday the 15th of June, Wahroonga Adventist Church held a "Hymnfest" with the intention of raising money for the Bible Foundation. Our Junior and Senior Choirs combined under the leadership of Mrs Jacquie Jacobs, Mrs Leonie Savage, Mr Christopher Jones and Mrs Kristina Vuceski to perform songs at the event. The choir sang two items, one as an individual ensemble and another piece with the combined orchestra. The students participated with great enthusiasm and energy which was a blessing to all those in attendance. We are very proud of all of the students who sang in the choir and their dedication to these ensembles. We would like to thank all of the parents who support the Choir program at the school.

Two students Jaemin A and Kenneth P were also included in the professional orchestra and they were able to perform alongside teachers and musicians throughout the concert. This is truly a feat for these upcoming young musicians and we look forward to including more of our students as the years progress.
