Donald Trump's stance on HHS
"One thing we have to do: Repeal and replace the disaster known as Obamacare. It's destroying our country. It's destroying our businesses. You take a look at the kind of numbers that that will cost us in the year '17, it is a disaster. It's probably going to die of its own weight. But Obamacare has to go. The premiums are going up 60 , 70 , 80 percent. Bad health care at the most expensive price. We have to repeal and replace Obamacare." -Donald Trump
Tom price: secretary of health and human services
While many think that Mr. Trump wants to completely eliminate the "Affordable Care Act" better known as ObamaCare, he has a better plan. Nominating Mr. Tom Price to head the Department of Health and Human Services, he has some ideas in mind for him. Of course Mr. Price will be taking care of more that just the ACA, because being the head of HHS means that Tom will have to protect the health of the whole country. Mr. Trump thinks that Tom Price is a great pick because he was a medical doctor and an experienced watch dog for the government. This could be very good for our country because Price has the ability to retool the HHS many agencies under his conservative reasoning.
Many are finding Mr. Trump's social stances a major issue. Tom Price is Pro-Life, Pro-Gun rights, and wants to mandate birth control access. I think that Mr. Price will act accordingly and will not completely eliminate birth control or any other major health care items that are much needed.
I don't think that Mr. Price will eliminate any major health care items such as birth control.
I do think that they will make a lot of changes with abortion, which could turn out well, but it could also turn into a disaster. If Donald Trump completely eliminates abortions then what would happen if someone were to get raped and they had to keep the baby? They would have to live with the child that mentally destroyed them. That would not turn out well.
