(W)RAP CLUB we wrap and rap

HISTORY & MISSION

(W)RAP club was created for the purpose of community. The "W" in (W)RAP club is for wraps and wrapped foods. The rap part of the word is to show the openness of rap music. Rap music can promote acceptance and debate the world's problems. Together in this club we can promote the love of music and food. We welcome anyone regardless of their rapping talent or if they don't like wraps!

FACULTY ADVISOR: Ms. Ongley

I'm looking forward to more wrapping with rap music next time!

FUN FACT: Ms. Ongley actually enjoys listening to rap music such as De La Soul.

SUMMARY OF EVENTS

This year, (w)rap club met 4 times - 9/29, 10/20, 1/13, 2/16 - at either room 1 or back tables during lunch. We created rap names, discussed upcoming service events, rapped, gave rap song recommendations and had fun! Last semester we had the idea of getting requests from people to wrap gifts for others. But it was too late to get it started so we decided to push it to upcoming Christmas. We are already excited for this plan!!

AFTER OUR FIRST MEETING, EVERYONE IS REBORN WITH THEIR BRAND NEW RAP NAMES

Other than meetings, we met 2 times -11/11, 3/31 and will meet on 4/27 at dining hall after school to make sandwiches for Sherwood events. With Ms. Duncan and sandwich club, we were able to make more than 200 sandwiches for kids at Sherwood!
