Week 6 Autumn term B

In number work the children have been using bar models to find the answer to a division maths story.

In mantle we looked at images of buildings in London today that were designed by Sir Christopher Wren.

We went on google maps and had a virtual visit to London. The children were so excited! We saw St. Paul’s Catherdral, the monument and River Thames. We went inside St. Paul’s Cathedral. Evie thought it was beautiful inside.

The children have been inspired by the Fire of London mantle. The all want to visit London some day. I hope they do.

The children thought about how they wanted the mantle to end. Ella thought Thomas Farriner should have a new house because his burnt down in the fire. The children designed a new house for Thomas Farriner.

We had our first Geography lesson. We learned that the UK is made up of four countries and each has a capital city. The children produced their first map.

We had great fun doing multiskills with Mr Breheny in P.E.
