ME Book Fair

Ahoy Mateys and Seaworthy Bookaneers!

We're coming for ya, argh! So yee better be ready!

Our Book Fair will run Monday, December 5th - Friday, December 9th. Students, I mean, Bookaneers will tour the fair with their classes on Monday and Tuesday with an opportunity to buy books on those days during lunch recess only. The fair will be open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30am-4pm, during the day (with a teacher pass) and during all recesses with money in hand. Also, join us on Thursday night for the Reflections Showcase with more chances for shopping that evening.

To make such a FANTASTIC book fair also requires a strong crew (we mean parent volunteers)! Please be on the lookout (with one or both of yer good 'ayes, har har!) for opportunities to volunteer at the fair and get great books into the hands of even greater kids!

If you have any questions feel free to contact Nikki Kennedy at klicknik@yahoo.com or 509-430-0115.

Thanks in advance for your participation!

Parent Pick Up

DROP-OFF, PICK-UP, & PARKING LOT PROCEDURES

  • During arrival and dismissal times, the long driveway from Olympic View Middle School becomes ONE WAY TRAFFIC ONLY. Cars should not turn around and drive back past Olympic View, but should proceed through the parking lot and out the bottom of the driveway onto Washington Street, which is EXIT ONLY, during drop off and pick up times you may only enter near the middle school.
  • Parents dropping off or picking up their student(s) can use the student drop off lane that is clearly marked along the sidewalk to allow your child to exit the car on the sidewalk side. As soon as the child exits the car, please proceed out of line and drive out of the parking lot. Cars following may then move up and drop off their student closer to the school.
  • Parents wishing to park their cars in the parking lot may do so. Please be sure to walk your child through the parking lot at all times. With so many cars, it can be quite dangerous if children are not escorted. Also, go to the crosswalks to cross the traffic/bus lanes. We have crossing guards posted at those locations.
  • Please drive very slowly through the lot at a speed no faster than 10 miles per hour.
  • If there is bus transportation provided for your student, we encourage you to allow your child to ride the bus. This cuts down greatly in the congestion during the arrival and dismissal times.
Morning Arrival

Morning Arrival Time is 8:55

To support each of our students with a safe campus, we ask for our students to arrive at 8:55 am.
