As always, I am very excited to share with you the great things that our God has done in the past month, let's get started!
Last November 4 and 5, we took time to look back and evaluate all the things we did in 2016 and planned, recalibrated and realigned our vision and plans for the coming year. 2017 will be one exciting year ahead!
“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations and will people the desolate cities." Isaiah 54:2-3
This year's theme is OLD AND NEW coming. The goal is to equip and empower the staff to adapt to and thrive in today’s changing campus ministry landscape. Our sessions and discussions are geared towards creating a renewed mindset towards change, thus turning our response to it from ignorance, apathy, and complacency to greater excellence, greater integrity, and greater dependence on the Holy Spirit.
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." Isaiah 43: 18-19
It's always good to have covenant friends who are walking with you in campus ministry! Here are Rina and Hero from Victory Alabang and Muntinlupa.
If you can remember last June, I was one of the facilitators of the Campus Ministry Exposure Program where we hosted participants from other nations and helped them to learn about our campus ministry here and we also learned so much from them. This is Baily from Every Nation Guam who was one of our participants then, he attended the summit as one of our campus staff!
Also present from the exposure program were Justin from Indonesia and Akira and Asuka from Japan. I wasn't able to have pictures with them but I'm excited for their nations as they go back and share what they received from the summit!
With some of my classmates from the School of Campus Ministry and Babes Bato, one of our mentors!
School of Campus Ministry (SCM) Batch 10. It's been 3 years since we graduated but I am so blessed to have these people who have been running this race with me ever since!
Here are your campus missionaries from Cabanatuan and Baler, I thank God for the opportunity to serve Him with this dream team! Thank you for sending us to the mission field!
The week after that, on November 18-20, we went to Victory Baler to serve our church there. I was privileged to speak in their Campus LIFE Talk, which is an outreach for High School and University students and is their preparation for a youth service eventually. I got to meet their leaders and volunteers to thank them and encourage them with what they're doing for the campuses of Baler.
Last for this month is this open door in one of the most important campuses in the city. Honorato C. Perez Sr. Memorial Science High School (SciHi) is an important campus since many students are aspiring to get into this school and graduates mostly study in top universities for college education which gives them a better access to greater fields of influence.
Last week, one of the teachers from SciHi to conduct a recollection to their Grade 8 and 9 students. Because of that, we were able to serve and minister to almost 500 young people and some of them are now actually connected to our LIFE Groups and One 2 One Coaches!
