Mo’Bay, Mo’ Pics Canon WP-1 x Fuji 200

There are few, affordable options for underwater cameras that shoot film. Working with a tight budget but not wanting to risk cheap housing for my more expensive gear, I purchased the Canon Sure Shot WP-1:

Views from the boat

This point-and-shoot (despite using pretty cheap film) works well above ground. However, underwater shooting can be tricky...

Left: No Flash; Right: With Flash

Shooting on auto underwater doesn’t always trigger the flash. Go figure. By pulling and holding down on the setting trigger, the flash will come on. The differences in color quality and depth of vision are visible even when the water itself is relatively clear.

But overall, it’s a great little point-and-shoot!
