2018 McDaniel Field Hockey Week 2: September 7-10

First-Half Strong

McDaniel has allowed just one goal in the two first halves this season. In the opener at Randolph-Macon, the defense posted a shutout. Wesley found the backboard in the 26th minute on Sunday.

Saving the Day

Paige Ford started 2018 off with a 17-save performance at Randolph-Macon last Friday. The save total was not only a career best for her but it was also the most saves by a Green Terror keeper in a game since 1999.

THIS WEEK'S FOE

9/9: McDaniel at Keystone, 2:00

The Giants (0-2) enter the weekend off a pair of shutout losses to open the year. Keystone fell 2-0 to Molloy to open the year on Sept. 1 before falling in its home opener to Wilkes 3-0 on Wednesday. Megan Novak has made 18 saves in the first two games of the season. Savanna Robinson has fired off five shots in the first two games.

Starting on the Right Foot

Madison Jamison scored a goal and tallied an assist in the first home game of her McDaniel career. She had a hand in both of the Green Terror’s goals on Sunday, finding Megan Quattrone for the first goal in the 42nd minute before scoring a goal of her own in the 62nd minute.
