For this photo, I photoshopped the crab out of its background from a separate photo. Then, I had the idea of putting the crab onto a yacht. I thought it would be funny and ironic to put the crab on a boat instead of swimming in the sea like he normally would be.
I learned how to use the elliptical marquee tool to select the courthouse from a separate photo. Creating this photo also required me to learn how to put a photo in the background, the fireworks. To blend the courthouse with the background, I used a gradient that wasn't too dark but still reflected the night sky.
