HISTORY
The Tampa Bay Lightning first took to the ice October 7, 1992. They defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 7-3 and many fans quickly took notice of the aspiring new team. Since then, they have played a total of 1,968 games. They are currently a member of the East Conference, Atlantic Division and play rivals like New York and Philadelphia.

MARKETING INTERNSHIP

Becoming a member of the Marketing and Sales department for the Tampa Bay Lightning will involve:
- Monitoring social media sites
- Generating ticket and retail sales
- Keeping up with the day-to-day business analytics
LIGHTNING FOUNDATION
A non- profit organization started by the team in 2002. They host yearly events to raise money for multiple causes including: Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorder Center at All Children’s Hospital, Florida's Wounded Heroes, and the American Red Cross.
IN CONCLUSION...
I would love to have the opportunity to work at Amalie Arena with the Tampa Bay Lightning staff because they have a strong team atmosphere, they will help gain experience in the field I am interested in, and they support many great causes.
