The video series will including Stop Motion, Time Lapse, and Sticknodes Animation. If any students want their videos showcased next week...send them to Mr. Quinn to be reviewed and approved. Enjoy!

Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams

Many of you are probably familiar with the Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams Beaumont Event. In the past, Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams has gathered thousands of community members outside of Beaumont, Royal Oak each night in December to shine flashlights to remind pediatric patients they are not alone. The tradition began as a way of helping Beaumont’s youngest and bravest patients feel connected to their community during the holiday season. With social distancing guidelines due to COVID-19, Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams will be conducted virtually this year.

On Friday, Baker students and staff met at lunch to record a virtual wish to send to the pediatric patients at Beaumont. But we do not want to stop here. To bring the event to them, Baker would also like to donate money to give Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams backpacks to children admitted to Beaumont. During the month of December, pediatric patients will receive a backpack containing items like light up star pillows, fairy lights, flashlights, glow sticks and more! Hospitalized children can feel isolated from the world and have a hard time settling in for a good night's sleep. These backpacks will help ensure these children and their families experience the outpouring of love and support from the community.

Donating is very simple! You can visit the donation website using the following link!

  1. Click Donate to This Campaign.
  2. Choose the amount you want to donate
  3. Click individual gift and put Baker Middle School in the employer name section. (This will allow us to keep track of Baker's donations.)

We thank you in advance for your support in helping this important cause and becoming a light for these children and their families going through dark times.
