Honors Senior Thesis Application

Deadline: Tuesday, November 15th

Any junior or senior Honors student in good standing in the Honors Program may attempt All-College Honors thesis. If you intend to write your Honors thesis (HON 451) in S2017, you must do the following things:

1. Read the Honors Thesis Handbook carefully (see email from Dr. Dierenfield for digital copy)

2. Conceive of a manageable thesis topic, perhaps after talking to a faculty member or two

3. See Dr. Dierenfield for approval of your proposed topic and proposed thesis adviser (Dr. Dierenfield reserves the right to veto proposed advisers who are a poor fit)

(Rather than emailing Dr. Dierenfield for an appointment time, please sign up for a time-slot on the office door of CT 607)

4. Complete the thesis application form (see email from Dr. Dierenfield for digital copy)

Deadline: November 15th

No one can register for HON 451 directly. All must see Dr. Dierenfield, and he will notify the Register as to who should be enrolled.

If you would like to talk to Dr. Dierenfield before embarking on the thesis application process, he'd be glad to speak to you.
