Facts: The Netherlands became the first country to legalize same-sex marriage in 2001.
As of 2014, 13 more countries have legalized same-sex marriage. South Africa, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Canada, and Spain are a few of these countries. Massachusetts was the first US state to legalize same-sex marriage in 2004.
Alaska and Hawaii were the first states to legally ban same-sex marriage
As of 2014 , 55% of Americans believe same-sex marriage should be legal
Statistics: There has been a dramatic shift in recent years in Americans’ attitudes about gay marriage, with support for same-sex marriage rising from 37% in 2009 to 57% in May 2015, according to the most recent Pew Research Center polling. Among the groups most likely to favor same-sex marriage today are Millennials (73%), Democrats (65%) and people without any religious affiliation (85%).
In the recent Pew Research survey, nearly three-quarters (72%) of Americans – including half of those who oppose gay marriage – said they saw eventual legal recognition of same-sex marriages as “inevitable.”
With the Supreme Court’s decision, the U.S. now joins 20 other countries that already allow gay and lesbian couples to wed in all of their jurisdictions.
You can see that the younger people aren't against same-sex marriage , the older people are the ones who think it's wrong and they want it to be illegal

There are even famous people who are married to the same gender. They are very popular people that people like them can look up to.
If someone loves someone you shouldn't bring them down or make them feel bad because that's the way they feel and they can't change that.
