MAP Testing- We will be completing our MAP testing on May 9th and 10th in the mornings. As with the Kansas State Assessments, I want to be sure that your children are getting a good nights sleep and a healthy breakfast before these days in order to ensure their success! Please help me in making sure that your child gets those two things. We also will need HEADPHONES and iPad's fully charged! Thanks in advance for your support again!
Canstruction Food Drive- This year, the PTA has decided to do something a little different for the annual canned food drive. Each grade or class will be constructing something of their choosing using the cans brought it. In order to do this, we need your help! If you are willing and able, please send in 5-10 cans with your child by the end of this week! We will begin building next week. These will be on display at Family Fun Night on the 12th. Thanks in advance for your support!
Field Trip- We will be taking our LAST field trip during our LAST week of school! We are all looking forward to this. During 4th quarter, we learn a lot about animals and plants, so what better way to further our understanding but than to visit a place that has both! We will be leaving for this field trip at 8:45 and will return around 1:45. Your students will need to bring a completely disposable lunch that day as we will be eating at picnic tables at the nature center and don't want to risk losing anything! I will send out more details within the next couple of weeks, but feel free to e-mail if you have any questions now.
Homework- Homework will be dwindling as the end of the year approaches. With only a three and a half day week this week, I will be assigning a shortened version of both math and reading for the week. After that, we may continue with just one of the two assignments. Please just be aware that if your child is telling you that homework is different, or not assigned, they are probably telling the truth : ) Also...no spelling this week!
