Create-a-Creature Project By: Brandon Auerbach

1. Star puff

2. Located in the aphotic and neritic zones. Light, temperature and salinity are some abiotic factors in these zones.

3. My organism's ability to change colors when it is hit with sunlight is a key reason for it living in this zone.

4. My organism uses tiny legs located all over its body and it also uses tiny legs on its star to walk on rocks.

5. My organism eats algae, clams, mussels, shrimp, crabs, oysters, and small fish

6. My organism is 5 inches wide and 4 inches tall

7. My organism is originally blue and white but can change colors when exposed to sunlight. It has the color blue to try and blend in with the water but it can change colors if a predator notices its blue color.

8. My organism protects itself by using sunlight to blend in and avoid its predators but can also blow up and expand to try and kill any predator that tries to eat it.

9. My organism is nektonic and uses its tiny legs to attach to rocks and anything it can but it also uses its star tail to steer itself while floating in the current.

10.; My organism uses tiny balls under its body to act as gills and help it breathe.

11. My organism reproduces by laying eggs. It does this because it is not a mammal and lays hundreds of eggs that it cannot raise.
