SEC Coaching Carousel

On June 21st, 2017 Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze, resigns from his position as head football coach, amid controversies. Ole Miss is currently under NCAA investigation, for alleged violations that occurred under Freeze's watch.

Matt Luke was named Miss' interim head coach, after Freeze's resignation.
Florida's Jim McElwain and Tennessee's Butch Jones were fired, midway through the season, thanks to a losing SEC record.

Texas A&M Fired head football coach Kevin Sumlin, after the team's season finale against LSU. Sumlin was 51-26 in six season at College Station, and was making a reported 5 million a year.

Bret Beielma was fired, walking off the field during the teams season finale. Bielema was fired after the Hogs went 4-8, this season and finished with 1 SEC win. Bret was 29-34 in 5 season at Fayettville.

The pressure to win, is never lost in the SEC. this season the conference will experience 5 different coaching changes. The SEC is wildly considered the best football conference, and the millions of dollars being poured in as revenue, is negatively affected by losing, which is way winning isn't everything in the SEC....... it's the only thing.

As This article was being written, Mississippi State head coach, as accepted the Florida opening, and Ole Miss rewarded interim head coach, Matt Luke with the full time position. Just to add to the chaos.
