Tech PD

3 Credits OR for your learning ~ 18 hours face to face time

Dates: June 20, June 22, June 27, June 29, July 6, July 11 Time: 12:00 - 3:00

This is a Blended learning course where teachers will participate in a professional learning environment that will provide access to resources, tools, and ideas that will expand their professional knowledge, create an understanding of the changes occurring in education and 21st century skills and tools, and then transform their classroom instruction and delivery. This will be done by learning specific tools and how to better use them in instruction, learning about educational models and their relation to technology and 21st century skills, and by learning in a professional environment that fosters learning and growing in professional knowledge. You will use your learning to transform learning in your classroom!

Going Google

3.. 1 credit options OR for your learning ~ 18 hours face to face time

Dates: June 20, June 22, June 27, June 29, July 6, July 11 Time: 8:30 - 11:30

This is a blended learning course where teachers will learn about many different Google tools ( Search, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Sites, Forms, Drive, Calendar, Classroom, YouTube, Hangout, etc). We will then take our knowledge of these powerful tools and enhance instruction by using these powerful tools with our students and also become more efficient in our work as educators.

Using Google Classroom to Manage Google Apps in my Classroom

1 credit OR for your learning ~ 6 hours face to face time

Date: July 19 Time: 8:30 - 2:30

This is a blended learning course where teachers will learn the power of the Google Classroom tool for managing Google Apps in their classroom by making workflows more paperless, more efficient, and easy for both teacher and students. Classroom is a powerful tool for managing the Google Content in your classroom. This session will get you up and running as a “Google Classroom” for the next school year.

Creating Student Applications for Learning using iPads

1 credit OR for your learning ~ 6 hours face to face time

Date: July 13 Time: 8:30 - 2:30

This is a blended learning course where teachers will explore iPads for the purpose of designing tasks and projects for student to learn as well as share and show their learning. We will be delving into a variety of apps that allow students to express their learning: Explain Everything, Spark Video, Seesaw, Book Creator, Pic Collage, Chatterpix, and more. We will also explore how to use content apps with purpose. Think of this session as an iPad playtime and a “make and take” all in one session! Come prepared to create learning activities for your students and classroom!

Using Chromebooks to Transform Learning

1 credit OR for your learning ~ 6 hours face to face time

Date: July 13 Time: 8:30 - 2:30

This is a blended learning course where teachers will explore Chrome Apps and web based applications for the purpose of designing tasks and projects for student to share and show their learning as well as being innovative in how we have student communicate, collaborate, and create . Think of this session as a Chromebook playtime and a “make and take” all in one session! Come prepared to create learning activities for your students and classroom!

Using Technology to Support A Content Area in the Classroom

1 credit OR for your learning ~ 6 hours face to face time

Date: July 20 Time: 8:30 - 2:30

This is a blended learning course where teachers will explore a multitude of apps, extensions, web tools, and strategies for using technology to support a content area (you choose) learning and instruction. Think of this session as a Content and technology playtime and a “make and take” all in one session! Come prepared to create learning activities for your students and classroom!
