Bronco Bulletin February 21, 2020

Happy Friday Bronco Families,

Although we had only three days of school there were many exciting things happening this week at BPMS. The picture above is from our wonderful band concert Wednesday evening that featured our 6th and 7th grade bands as well as our jazz band.

Last Friday, Mr. White's classes held their 2nd annual Physics Carnival. Students designed, built and displayed traditional carnival games while they learned the physics behind their designs and how it could be used to win!

If your student has AirPods (and we know many, many of them do!) we are asking that you have a conversation with your child about leaving them at home. We have seen an extreme rise in students misplacing them and claiming they have been stolen, only to find them after searching classrooms or the gym. With the device being so small and being indistinguishable from one another, we are spending an inordinate amount of time searching for a device that is not needed at school. Please know that if your child brings them, we will not be able to assist in the recovery if lost. Thank you for understanding.

Scheduling materials for the 2020-2021 school year were distributed to students this week. Please be sure to login to PowerSchool to make your student's course requests for next year. If you're having difficulty logging in, please email pssuport@troy.k12.mi.us If you have any questions regarding scheduling, please reach out to Mrs. Hall at kpierce@troy.k12.mi.us

The Troy Schools Food Service Department, which is contracted by Chartwells, are seeking friendly people willing to fill various vacancies within the Food Service.

Our Food Service workers are responsible for providing lunches to the students of the Troy School District. Not to worry if you haven’t had previous experience, as “on the job” training will be available!

Depending on the school, the hours would primarily be during the middle of the day, but will vary depending on the vacancy. And you would be earning some extra money while your students are in school! Come join our Food Service Staff by calling 248-823-5089, or please email us at ngervais@troy.k12.mi.us.

Have a wonderful weekend,

Tony Morse
