Difference between mitosis and meiosis.... The first difference is that mitosis happens asexually while meiosis only happens sexually. Mitosis uses growth repair while meiosis creates gametes, Mitosis cells divide once while meiosis cells divide twice.
Nondisjunction is the failure of chromatids to separate. Recessive genes- genes that are less dominant. Dominant genes are the ones that show up frequently. a somatic cell is the cell that has nothing to do with genes. And a germ cell is a cell passed through generations.
The 23rd chromosome is your karyotype and it provides a genotype because it says if you are a male or female which allows for phenotypes
Kleinfetter's syndrome is a syndrome where the chromosomes combine to make a person who is half male and half female XXY
Down syndrome is a disorder thats is a recessive gene and is formed through sex therefore making it a germ cell. Down syndrome is where there is an extra chromosome in the 21st chromosome.
Color blindness is a germ cell that is also recessive The gene which is responsible for the condition is carried on the X chromosome and this is the reason why many more men are affected than women.
Turners disease is yet another recessive gene that is formed somatically. As a result, some of an affected person's cells have the usual two sex chromosomes, and other cells have only one copy of the
