Week 2: Making your mark Your guide to Digimap for Schools

Welcome to week 2. In 10 minutes, you'll learn how to:

  • add text, shapes, symbols and images to your map.
  • view a map key.
  • save and print your maps.
  • sound good? Just move down the page to get started.

Annotations

Let's learn how to:

  • add text, shapes, images and symbols.
  • move and scale your annotations.

View a map key

  • Map keys (legends) are available at each scale.
  • Just click View a map key, on the left.
  • View online, download or print.

Save and Retrieve

  • select the Save my Map button.
  • add a map title, pupil name and class.
  • save map in folder of your choice (see link below).
  • select the Open a saved map button to retrieve a map.

Print Options

  • A4 or A3.
  • Landscape or portrait.
  • PDF or JPG image.
  • Optional additions: a title, gridlines and your name.
