We joined forces with Station Taxis to drum up support for Sunderland2021 ahead of the 2021 City of Culture second round.

With the help of Station Taxis and their fantastic 2021 branded taxi, we are helping to spread the Sunderland2021 spirit! We are very proud to get behind our city with our three branded cars, a SEAT, SKODA and a Volkswagen, to represent our four showrooms across the North East.

The four eye-catching vehicles have been hitting the streets of Sunderland drumming up support for Sunderland's bid.

Ahead of the second round, we are going on a tour of Sunderland! Pulman and Station Taxis will be joined by 103.4 SunFM and Sunderland 2021 to help raise awareness of the bid. If you are out and about in the Sunderland area on the 12th of June make sure you keep your eyes peeled. We will be visiting some of the unique cultural hotspots in Sunderland - why not come down and say hello!

You can 'nail their colours to the mast' and 'get behind our city' by helping us spread the word. You can download and display the Sunderland 2021 poster and tell your friends, family and colleagues about the bid and what it means for the city. Pulman are proud to support Sunderland's bid to be crowned City of Culture 2021. In support of the bid we have brought our three brands together Volkswagen, SEAT and SKODA and dedicated a vehicle per brand to the cause, which have been exclusively wrapped in the city bid colours.

The fun continues throughout the year with Sunderland Air Show attracting thousands each and every summer, to Sunderland Illuminations brightening those dark winter nights.

The first bid has been submitted and by December 2017 the winner will be awarded UK City of Culture 2021. Sunderland are competing with Cardiff, Coventry, Hereford, Paisley, Perth, Portsmouth, St Davids, Stoke, Swansea, Warrington and Wells
