VELVIA strikes back

Back in 2004 I had the chance to test the, at the time, brand new Nikon 200-400 f/4 zoom and the astonishing 200 f/2 prime. Along with a Nikon D1X, I used my trusty F5, loaded with a few Velvia rolls.

Here are some of the slides that combo pulled off. Despite a rather poor scan quality and the noticeable lack of sharpness, colors look amazingly crisp and rich. Even for todays' standards.

And don’t fail to impress.
